01Breadboard prototype

First pass on a breadboard to hear if the idea is any good at all.

The breadboard prototype
Four folding stages, powered from a bench supply

The core of each stage is two diodes back-to-back in the feedback path. Values used:

  • R_in = 100k
  • R_fb = 47k
  • Diodes: 1N4148, matched by hand

It sounds much nicer with slightly mismatched diodes. Noted for later.
